Total bookings skyrocket 102 percent over same period last year as global ePRO market leader signs 10 new biopharmaceutical trials, welcomes new CFO
BOSTON, Mass – April 02, 2009 – PHT Corporation is on track for aggressive growth in 2009, as more biopharmaceutical and life sciences companies standardize on the company’s ePRO (electronic patient reported outcome) solutions. Total new business bookings climbed 102 percent over Q1 of 2008, with existing and new clients turning to PHT as the best choice to meet both economic and scientific requirements.

Q1 highlights included:
--10 New Trials – PHT signed 10 large trials including seven respiratory studies with six trials in COPD and one trial for asthma. Several of the trials will rely on PHT’s SitePad™ Tablet, which revolutionizes the quality of site-based questionnaire and survey data capture. Implemented on the convenient large-screen Samsung Q1 UMPC, the SitePad Tablet provides scientific research teams with complete and timely subject and clinician data from sites worldwide.
--CFO Appointment – Senior technology and life sciences industry executive John J. Arcari, CPA, MBA joined PHT as CFO. Mr. Arcari has 25 years of successful experience in finance. His broad areas of expertise include public and private financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, international operations, and successful enterprise system implementations.
--New ePRO User Administration Features in StudyWorks™ portal – At the DIA 2009 European Annual Meeting PHT unveiled new features that enable smaller, safer and more economical clinical trials by improving the ePRO experience for sponsors, sites and patients. New capabilities included faster site set-up and improved sponsor control.
--PHT Executive Thought Leadership – Pharmaceutical Executive Europe published a provocative article by PHT’s European General Manager, Dr. Valdo Arnera entitled, “Should Paper Diaries be Banned in Clinical Trials?” Additionally, PHT executives spoke at industry events including Cambridge Health Tech Institute’s Inaugural Electronic Data in Clinical Trials Conference and the DIA 21st European Annual Meeting.
